Racz Procedure

The Racz procedure is a minimally invasive spinal intervention used to treat chronic back and leg pain stemming from nerve irritation. Under local anesthesia, a doctor inserts a thin catheter into the epidural space around the spinal cord via a small needle. Medication, such as steroids and anesthetics, is then slowly delivered through the catheter to reduce inflammation and nerve pain. This targeted approach can help patients who haven’t found relief with other treatments, aiming to alleviate pain and improve mobility without the need for more invasive surgery.
