Racialized Psychology
Racialized psychology is the study of how race and ethnicity influence the way people think, feel, and behave, as well as how mental health is experienced and treated across different racial groups. It examines how social experiences, stereotypes, and systemic inequalities shape psychological processes and outcomes. Recognizing these factors helps provide more equitable mental health care and understanding, acknowledging that race is a significant context in individuals’ psychological lives rather than just a biological characteristic.
