Racial ecology is a discredited and harmful concept suggesting that different racial groups have distinct natural characteristics and that their environments or "habitats" influence their behavior and evolution. It falsely implies that races should be segregated to maintain ecological balance, similar to species in nature. This idea has been used to justify racism, segregation, and discrimination, and is scientifically unsupported. Modern understanding recognizes all humans as one species with diverse traits shaped by individual and cultural factors, not separate "races" with different ecological roles.
