Rabbinical training
Rabbinical training involves rigorous education in Jewish law (Halacha), sacred texts like the Torah and Talmud, ethics, and pastoral skills. Prospective rabbis typically study for several years at yeshivas or rabbinical seminaries, engaging in intense analysis, debate, and study of religious texts. They also learn community leadership, counseling, and homiletics to effectively serve congregations. The aim is to prepare them spiritually, academically, and practically for roles as spiritual guides, teachers, and community leaders within Jewish life.
