Révolution nationale

Révolution nationale was a set of political and social ideals promoted by the Vichy government in France during World War II (1940–1944). It aimed to restore traditional values, emphasize nationalism, family, work, and hierarchy, and foster a sense of unity amid wartime struggles. The movement rejected liberal democracy and sought to rebuild France around conservative, anti-communist principles, often collaborating with Nazi Germany. It also enforced authoritarian policies, suppressed dissent, and promoted a conservative, traditionalist vision of French identity. While intended to reshape France internally, it ultimately reflected the collaborationist stance of the Vichy regime during the occupation.
