Régulier polyhedra

Regulier polyhedra, also known as regular polyhedra or Platonic solids, are three-dimensional shapes made up of faces that are identical regular polygons (like triangles or squares). Each face is the same size and shape, and the same number of faces meet at every corner (vertex). This symmetry makes them highly ordered and aesthetically appealing. There are only five such shapes: Tetrahedron, Cube, Octahedron, Dodecahedron, and Icosahedron. They are fundamental in geometry, often used to illustrate symmetry and mathematical beauty, and have applications in science, architecture, and art.
