R-CHOP is a combination therapy used to treat certain types of lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system. It includes five medicines: Rituximab (a targeted antibody attacking cancer cells) and four chemotherapy drugs (Cyclophosphamide, Hydroxydaunorubicin, Oncovin, and Prednisone) that work together to destroy cancer cells, limit their growth, and improve treatment success. This regimen is typically given in cycles over several months and is designed to maximize cancer eradication while managing side effects. R-CHOP is effective in treating certain aggressive and indolent lymphomas, improving survival rates for many patients.
