Qutbism

Qutbism is an interpretation of Islamic thought based on the ideas of Sayyid Qutb, an Egyptian thinker. It advocates for a return to what it considers pure Islamic principles, often rejecting modern influences and secular governments. Qutbism emphasizes the importance of implementing strict Islamic laws and views the current socio-political world as corrupt or jahili (ignorant of true Islam). It promotes the idea of a global Islamic community that should unite under strict religious principles, sometimes justifying revolutionary actions to establish an Islamic society. This ideology has influenced some extremist groups, leading to calls for jihad against what they see as un-Islamic regimes.
