Qusay Hussein

Qusay Hussein was an Iraqi political and military leader, and the son of Saddam Hussein, Iraq’s former president. Born in 1966, he held significant power within the Iraqi government, overseeing security and military operations. Known for his loyalty to his father and involvement in Iraq’s political hierarchy, Qusay was considered a key figure in maintaining the regime’s control. After Saddam’s fall in 2003, Qusay was targeted by U.S. forces; he was killed in a firefight in 2003. His role exemplifies the influence of Saddam Hussein’s family in Iraq’s governance prior to the Iraq War.
