Quneitra

Quneitra is a small city in southwestern Syria, located near the border with Israel. It served as the capital of the Syrian Golan Heights and has significant strategic and historical importance. The area was heavily affected during the Arab-Israeli conflicts, especially in 1973, when it experienced military clashes. Today, Quneitra is partly deserted and remains a symbol of the ongoing conflict between Syria and Israel, with some parts still affected by bombings and destruction. The region is also a focal point in peace negotiations, representing territorial and political disputes in the broader Middle East conflict.
