
Quentin Bryce
Quentin Bryce is an Australian lawyer and former politician who served as the 24th Governor-General of Australia from 2008 to 2014. As Governor-General, she was the Queen’s representative in Australia, performing ceremonial duties and ensuring the continuity of government. Bryce was the first woman to hold this position. Prior to her appointment, she was involved in education and community service, including serving as the President of the Australian Council of Women and as the Governor of Queensland. She is known for her advocacy on social issues, gender equality, and her efforts to promote national unity.
