Quenching tank
A quenching tank is a container filled with a cooling liquid—usually water or oil—that rapidly cools metals or other materials processed in manufacturing. After heating or treatment, parts are immersed in the tank to quickly lower their temperature, which helps improve their strength, hardness, or other properties. The process also prevents the parts from becoming too brittle or warped. Quenching tanks are important in metalworking to achieve desired material qualities and ensure precise, consistent results in producing durable products.
