Quem Quaeritis

"Quem Quaeritis" is a liturgical drama from the early Middle Ages, often considered one of the first forms of medieval theatre. It translates to "Whom do you seek?" and is based on the biblical story of the Resurrection, where angels ask the women visiting Jesus' tomb about whom they are looking for. This short play was performed during Easter services, illustrating the moment the women discover that Jesus has risen.
