Queer theology

Queer theology is an approach that re-examines religious beliefs and scriptures through the lens of LGBTQ+ experiences and identities. It challenges traditional interpretations that may marginalize or exclude queer individuals, emphasizing inclusion, justice, and the affirmation of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. By doing so, queer theology seeks to reconceptualize faith, spirituality, and community in a way that embraces all people, fostering understanding and equality within religious contexts. It’s both a form of liberation and a way to explore how faith can be more inclusive and affirming for marginalized groups.
