Queen's Own Highlanders

The Queen's Own Highlanders was a British Army infantry regiment formed in 1997 through the merger of the Queen's Own Highlanders (Seaforth and Camerons) and the Highlanders (Seaforth, Gordons, and Camerons). It primarily recruited from the Scottish Highlands, specializing in infantry duties. The regiment served in various operational roles, including peacekeeping, combat deployments, and ceremonial duties. In 2006, it was amalgamated into The Highlanders (Seaforth, Gordons, and Camerons) as part of military restructuring, continuing the Scottish Highland tradition within the British Army.
