Queen Hatshepsut

Queen Hatshepsut was a significant figure in ancient Egypt, ruling as one of its first female pharaohs during the 15th century BCE. Initially serving as regent for her stepson Thutmose III, she assumed full power and reigned for about 22 years. Hatshepsut is known for her remarkable building projects, including her impressive mortuary temple at Deir el-Bahari, and for promoting trade, which enriched Egypt. Her reign was relatively peaceful and prosperous, but after her death, her legacy was largely erased for many years, with attempts to remove her from historical records.
