Queen bees
A queen bee is the main reproductive female in a hive, responsible for laying most of the eggs that develop into worker bees and new queens. She is larger than other bees, with a longer abdomen, and emits specific pheromones that help maintain social order. Queens are typically born from special eggs fed with plentiful royal jelly and can live several years, laying thousands of eggs annually. Their primary role is reproduction, ensuring the hive's survival and stability. Despite their importance, queens rely on worker bees for feeding, grooming, and hive maintenance.
