Qubit

A qubit, or quantum bit, is the basic unit of information in quantum computing. Unlike a classical bit that is either 0 or 1, a qubit can exist in a state of both 0 and 1 simultaneously thanks to a property called superposition. This allows quantum computers to process complex calculations more efficiently. Additionally, qubits can become entangled, meaning the state of one qubit can instantly influence another, no matter the distance. These unique features enable quantum computers to tackle certain problems much faster than traditional computers, particularly in fields like cryptography, optimization, and simulation.
