Quarterback Rating

Quarterback Rating (QBR), often called passer rating, is a statistic used to evaluate a quarterback's performance in football. It considers key passing stats—completion percentage, yards gained per attempt, touchdowns, and interceptions—and combines them into a single number between 0 and 158. A higher rating indicates better overall passing efficiency and effectiveness, reflecting the quarterback's ability to complete accurate passes that result in yardage and touchdowns while minimizing mistakes. It's a useful way to assess how well a quarterback performs passing the ball during a game, providing a standardized measure of their skill and contribution to the offense.
