Quantum Numbers

Quantum numbers are values that describe the properties and behavior of electrons in atoms, akin to an address that tells you where an electron is located and how it behaves. There are four quantum numbers: 1. **Principal (n)**: indicates the energy level and size of the electron's orbit. 2. **Angular Momentum (l)**: describes the shape of the orbit. 3. **Magnetic (m)**: specifies the orientation of the orbit in space. 4. **Spin (s)**: indicates the direction of the electron's spin. Together, they define an electron's unique state within an atom, essential for understanding electron configuration and chemical behavior.
