Quantum Indeterminism

Quantum indeterminism refers to the idea that at the quantum level, certain events do not have predetermined outcomes, even when all initial conditions are known. Unlike classical physics, where cause-and-effect relationships are clear and predictable, quantum mechanics reveals that particles can behave in fundamentally unpredictable ways. This challenges our traditional understanding of causality, suggesting that events can occur without specific causes, leading to inherent randomness in nature. Essentially, while we can predict probabilities of outcomes, we cannot determine them precisely, highlighting a fundamental uncertainty in the behavior of matter at the smallest scales.
