
Quantum Channel
A quantum channel is a way to transmit quantum information, such as quantum states, over a communication medium. Unlike classical channels that send bits (0s and 1s), quantum channels handle qubits, which can exist in multiple states simultaneously thanks to quantum superposition. During transmission, qubits can also become influenced by their environment, causing errors or loss of information. Quantum channels are designed to reliably transfer this delicate quantum data, often incorporating error correction, while enabling advanced applications like quantum cryptography and quantum computing.
