Quantum Bit (Qubit)

A quantum bit, or qubit, is the basic unit of information in a quantum computer. Unlike a classical bit, which is either a 0 or a 1, a qubit can exist in a state of both 0 and 1 simultaneously thanks to quantum superposition. This allows quantum computers to process complex calculations more efficiently for certain problems. Qubits also become linked through entanglement, enabling them to work together in ways that classical bits cannot. Overall, qubits harness unique quantum properties to perform tasks that are impractical for traditional computers.
