Qualitative data
Qualitative data refers to information that describes qualities, characteristics, or categories rather than numbers. It captures details about people's opinions, feelings, colors, textures, or types — aspects that can't easily be measured with numbers. For example, customer reviews describing a product as "excellent" or "poor," or notes about a person's mood, are qualitative data. This type of data helps provide context, insights, and understanding about experiences, attitudes, or traits, often used in research to explore meanings and patterns that quantitative data alone may not reveal.
