Quadriceps

The quadriceps, often called "quads," are a group of four large muscles located at the front of your thigh. They work together to extend or straighten your knee, which is essential for movements like walking, running, jumping, and standing up. These muscles also help stabilize the knee joint. The four muscles within the quadriceps are the rectus femoris, vastus lateralis, vastus medialis, and vastus intermedius. Strong quadriceps are important for leg strength and overall mobility, and they can be targeted through various exercises to improve leg function and support knee health.
