Quadrantanopia

Quadrantanopia is a visual field loss where a person’s vision is missing in one-quarter (quadrant) of their visual field in both eyes. This affects how they see objects or movement in that specific area, often caused by damage to parts of the brain responsible for processing visual information or to the optic pathways. For example, a top-left quadrantanopia results in a blind spot in the upper-left corner of the visual field. People with this condition can often adapt by turning their head or eyes to compensate for the blind area.
