Quốc Ngữ

Quốc Ngữ is the modern Vietnamese writing system that uses the Latin alphabet with additional diacritical marks to indicate tones and pronunciation. It was developed by European missionaries in the 17th century and gradually replaced traditional Chinese-based scripts. Quốc Ngữ made reading and writing Vietnamese more accessible and helped increase literacy. Today, it is the official script used in Vietnam for all forms of communication, education, and media, serving as an integral part of Vietnamese cultural identity and facilitating the dissemination of information both domestically and internationally.
