QLC

QLC stands for Quad-Level Cell, a type of SSD (solid-state drive) storage that holds four bits of data per cell. This allows QLC drives to store more information in the same physical space, making them more cost-effective and offering higher storage capacities. However, because each cell manages more data, QLC SSDs typically have slower write speeds and shorter lifespans compared to drives with fewer bits per cell, like TLC or SLC. They are well-suited for general storage needs and read-heavy tasks where cost and capacity are priorities.
