The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) is a regional organization representing Inuit communities in the Qikiqtani (Baffin) Region of Nunavut, Canada. Its primary role is to advocate for Inuit rights, manage land claims, and ensure that Inuit have a voice in decisions affecting their culture, environment, and economic development. QIA also provides social services, supports community well-being, and promotes Inuit language and culture. Established through the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement, it serves as a key partner between Inuit communities and government agencies, working to improve opportunities and sustain Inuit way of life in the region.
