Qikiqtaaluk Region
The Qikiqtaaluk Region, also known as the Baffin Region, is a vast area in eastern Nunavut, Canada, encompassing much of Baffin Island and surrounding smaller islands. It is characterized by a rugged Arctic landscape with mountains, tundra, and ice-covered areas. The region is home to many Inuit communities, with life closely tied to the land and sea. It features unique wildlife like polar bears, Arctic foxes, and migrating whales. Due to its remote location and extreme climate, the region has a sparse population but plays a vital role in Canada's cultural heritage and Arctic research.
