
Qian Xuesen
Qian Xuesen, also known as Hsue-Shen Tsien, was a prominent Chinese scientist and engineer who pioneered missile and rocket technology. Born in 1911, he studied in the United States, contributing to missile research during WWII. Accused of espionage in the 1950s, he was deported to China, where he played a crucial role in developing China’s ballistic missile and space programs. Often called the "Father of Chinese Rocketry," his work significantly advanced China’s military and space capabilities, making him a key figure in modern Chinese science and technology.
