Pyrrho
Pyrrho of Elis was an ancient Greek philosopher and the founder of Skepticism. He argued that because beliefs can lead to conflicting conclusions and that our perceptions can be misleading, we should suspend judgment on many matters. He advocated for a life of tranquility by accepting uncertainty and not adhering too strongly to any particular beliefs. This approach encourages critical thinking and open-mindedness, emphasizing that true wisdom lies in recognizing the limits of our knowledge and avoiding dogmatism. Pyrrho's ideas laid the groundwork for later philosophical skepticism, influencing thinkers throughout history.
