Pyramid of Unas

The Pyramid of Unas, located in Egypt, is the smallest of the pyramids at Saqqara but notable for its well-preserved interior. Built for Pharaoh Unas around 2300 BC, it features a step-like structure with smooth outer walls. Inside, it contains a corridor leading to a burial chamber and decorated passages with ancient inscriptions called pyramid texts, which are spells intended to help the pharaoh in the afterlife. These inscriptions are among the earliest religious texts, providing insight into ancient Egyptian beliefs about life after death and royal power.
