PVG

PVG, or Pulmonary Vein Graft, is a surgical connection made using a vein—usually taken from the leg or chest—to bypass or repair damaged or blocked pulmonary veins, which carry oxygen-rich blood from the lungs to the heart. This technique is often used in heart surgeries, such as procedures to treat pulmonary hypertension or congenital abnormalities. The graft helps restore proper blood flow, ensuring the lungs can effectively oxygenate the body. PVG is a specialized approach to improve or maintain lung and heart function when the normal pulmonary veins are compromised.
