PVD

Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD) is a condition where the blood vessels outside the heart and brain, mainly in the legs, become narrowed or blocked due to buildup of fatty deposits. This reduces blood flow, leading to symptoms like leg pain, cramps, numbness, and difficulty walking. PVD is often linked to atherosclerosis, which is the hardening of arteries. It increases the risk of heart attack and stroke. Managing PVD typically involves lifestyle changes, medication, and sometimes procedures to restore proper blood flow and prevent complications.
