Push Polling

Push polling is a technique used during political campaigns or debates, where callers contact voters under the guise of conducting a survey. However, instead of genuinely gathering opinions, they deliver subtle, often leading, negative messages about a candidate or issue. The goal is to influence voters' perceptions indirectly by "pushing" certain opinions or impressions through these questions. Unlike traditional polling, push polling is designed more to sway opinions than to collect unbiased data. It’s considered a form of influence rather than genuine opinion research.
