Purity
Purity refers to the degree to which a substance consists of only one type of molecule or element, free from contaminants or impurities. In simple terms, a pure substance has no other substances mixed in with it. For example, pure water (H₂O) contains only water molecules, without any minerals, pollutants, or other chemicals. The higher the purity, the fewer unwanted particles or substances are present. Purity is important in many fields—like medicine, manufacturing, and chemistry—because it ensures consistency, safety, and effectiveness of products or processes.
