Pure-blood supremacy

Pure-blood supremacy is a belief that individuals with only magical ancestry—without Muggle (non-magical) heritage—are inherently superior to those with mixed or non-magical backgrounds. Adherents consider pure-bloods to be the true or ideal witches and wizards, often disregarding or discriminating against Muggle-borns and Muggles. This attitude fosters prejudice, social division, and discrimination within the magical community, and is often linked to notions of racial superiority. Such beliefs promote exclusivity and undermine equality, emphasizing ancestry over individual merit or character.
