Purdue Model

The Purdue Model is a framework for organizing and protecting industrial control systems, like those used in factories and power plants. It divides the system into different levels, from physical equipment on the factory floor (Level 0) up to enterprise management (Level 4). Each level has specific functions and communication protocols, helping ensure secure and reliable operation. The model promotes a layered approach to cybersecurity, so that if one part is compromised, it minimizes the risk to other parts of the system, maintaining safety, efficiency, and control of industrial operations.
