Pumpkin papers

The Pumpkin Papers refer to a set of secret documents and microfilm files discovered in 1974 during an investigation into espionage allegations against former government officials, notably in the Watergate scandal. These papers contained classified information and evidence that suggested attempts to cover up political misconduct. The name "Pumpkin Papers" comes from the location where the documents were hidden—hidden inside hollowed-out pumpkins.
