Pumped Storage
Pumped storage is a type of energy system that helps balance electricity supply and demand. It works by moving water between two reservoirs at different heights: during times of low electricity demand, excess power is used to pump water uphill to a higher reservoir. When demand is high, the stored water is released back down through turbines, generating electricity. This system acts like a giant battery, storing energy when there's extra and releasing it when needed, helping ensure a stable and reliable power supply.
