Pulp and paper production
Pulp and paper production transforms wood or recycled fibers into paper products through a series of processes. First, logs or recycled materials are broken down into pulp, a mixture of cellulose fibers. This pulp is cleaned, refined, and then spread onto large screens to form sheets. These sheets are pressed to remove water, dried, and sometimes coated or treated for specific uses. This process involves mechanical, chemical, or combined methods to extract fibers and produce paper with desired qualities like strength, texture, or brightness, serving purposes from printing to packaging.
