Pull and Push Factors

Pull and push factors describe why people move from one place to another. Push factors are conditions that encourage people to leave their current location, such as job shortages, lack of healthcare, or conflict. Pull factors are attractions that draw people to a new place, like better job opportunities, safety, or clean environments. Essentially, push factors push people away from their origin, while pull factors pull them toward a new destination. Both influence migration decisions based on personal needs and circumstances.
