Puebloan languages
Puebloan languages are a group of related Indigenous languages spoken by the Pueblo peoples of the southwestern United States, including groups like the Hopi, Zuni, and the various Tewa tribes. These languages belong to the Keresan, Tanoan, and Hopi language families, each with distinct linguistic features. They are integral to Pueblo cultural identity, history, and traditions, often used in ceremonies and daily communication. Though many Puebloan languages face challenges from declining speakers, efforts are underway to preserve and revitalize these languages for future generations.
