Public Semiology
Public semiology is the study of how signs, symbols, and communication patterns in public settings convey meaning beyond words. It examines visual cues such as architecture, signage, symbols, and cultural markings to understand societal values, identities, and messages. By analyzing these signs, public semiology helps interpret how environments and shared visuals influence our perceptions, behaviors, and social interactions. Essentially, it explores the language of the public space—how it "speaks" to us and shapes collective understanding.
