Psychrometer
A psychrometer is a device used to measure humidity in the air. It consists of two thermometers: a dry bulb and a wet bulb. The dry bulb measures the air temperature, while the wet bulb has a cloth soaked in water over its bulb. When air passes over the wet bulb, evaporation cools it down. By comparing the two temperatures, the psychrometer helps determine the relative humidity — how much moisture is in the air compared to the maximum it can hold at that temperature. This information is useful in weather forecasting, HVAC systems, and controlling environments.
