"Psychosemantics"
Psychosemantics is a branch of philosophy that studies how mental states—like thoughts and feelings—gain meaning and connect to the world. It explores how the mind represents external objects, concepts, and phenomena internally. Essentially, it examines how our thoughts are "about" things and how this aboutness (or intentionality) is established. This field helps us understand the nature of mental representations, how language relates to thought, and how we interpret meaning within our minds, bridging psychology, linguistics, and philosophy to clarify how we mentally grasp and communicate the world around us.
