Psychophysical Parallelism

Psychophysical parallelism is a philosophical idea suggesting that the mind and body operate in harmony without directly affecting each other. Think of them as two synchronized clocks—they run in parallel and stay coordinated, but one doesn't influence the other. When you decide to move your hand, your brain initiates the command, and your hand moves, but the mind and body are believed to run side by side, each following its own path yet remaining in sync through a divine or natural order. This view maintains a distinction between mental experiences and physical processes without implying direct interaction.
