Psychological Expressivism
Psychological Expressivism is a theory in philosophy of mind suggesting that emotions are primarily ways individuals express their inner mental states. It posits that when we feel emotions like anger, joy, or sadness, our emotional expressions—such as facial expressions, gestures, or tone of voice—are direct outward signs of our internal feelings. These expressions serve to communicate our emotional states to others, helping with social understanding and interaction. Essentially, emotional expressions reflect what we're experiencing inside, making them a window into our psychological condition.
