Pseudoscorpiones
Pseudoscorpiones are small arachnids resembling tiny scorpions without tails or stingers, typically less than 5 millimeters long. They have pincer-like pedipalps used for capturing prey, mainly tiny insects and mites. They often live in leaf litter, soil, or under logs, and some are common in homes, hiding in books or clothing. Pseudoscorpions are harmless to humans and play a beneficial role by controlling pest populations. Despite their appearance, they pose no threat and are an interesting example of the diverse adaptations within arachnids.
